It seems an internal memo written last month by Senior VP Brad Garlinghouse is now making the rounds outside of its purple walls. While none of it really sounds surprising, it’s always good to see some efforts in recognizing some of their short-comings.
The memo, published by the Wall Street Journal, argues that the company lacks leadership and a single cohesive strategy claiming that the company has “spread itself too thinly” and likens themselves to peanut butter.
He proposes a top-down reorganization. Looks like he might be putting his own foot into the ring as a replacement for CEO Terry Semel.
